Kernel Loading

The EVIC will need the production kernel binary files installed on the device. The following steps will provide you with the instructions on how to perform this process.

  1. Install the ADIM-Flasher tool onto your workstation. You can choose between x86 or x64 installers.

  2. Go through the setup wizard to successfully install it.

  3. Install boot jumper into the 20-pin wiring harness.

4. Plug USB cable from EVIC to Workstation (Host computer)

5. Launch the ADIM-Flasher tool and power on the EVIC display with +12V. The board should go into boot mode and initialize. You should see a similar screenshot as shown below.

6. Go to the “Settings” page in ADIM-Flasher and select the following binary files: XLDR_NAND.bin → EBOOT.bin → NK.bin → boot_screen.png (any image cropped at 800x480). Press the “Save” button.

7. Select the “Flash” button and wait until it is succesfully flashes EVIC. You can monitor the progress bar on the bottom right-corner.
